Reporting to the site Material Management leader, this position is responsible for managing warehouse stock, inventory control, shipping and receiving duties in an industrial warehouse setting.

This role has accountability for Safety, compliance to Warehouse Management Best Practices, accuracy of inventory records, receiving and inspecting incoming goods, warehouse security and housekeeping.

This role requires close working relationships with internal customers including Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and external suppliers.

Key Tasks:

  • Verify receipt of materials from suppliers. Confirm packing list material description, manufacturer, part number of item and quantities shipped by the Vendor match the information on the purchase order. Communicate any discrepancies found. Perform goods receipt in SAP on a timely basis and follow best practices.
  • Monitor reservations for goods issue. If applicable, pick the parts/quantity from picklist and “bag/tag” for pickup/delivery.
  • Operate forklift in a safe manner for material handling.
  • Operate manual material handling equipment.
  • Assist end users locating material and equipment stored in the warehouse.

Skills:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ensure safety programs are implemnted and followed.
  • Ability to work with internal customers and suppliers.
  • Abilitiy to use warehouse equipment (Forkilift, pallet jack, hand jack).
  • Good organization skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work pace.
  • Good communication and computer skills.
  • SAP experience (Preferred).
