Reporting directly to the Operations Supervisor, the Granulation Supervisor is responsible for plant operations, including the supervision of production employees, lab testing and quality control, budgeting, environmental, health and safety compliance and employee management for 25 employees.

Key Tasks:

  • Compliance with all Safety, Environmental and Operating StandardsProvide leadership, supervision and planning to achieve all plant operating objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal and external EH&S requirements.
  • Monitor plant activities and trends, including production costs, productivity and efficiency.
  • Oversee quality control, including establishing standards and maintaining records for efficiency and quality achievement as well as continuous improvement.
  • Assist in short and long range planning of operational activities.
  • Manage plant and related budgets.
  • Supervise and participate in the employee management activities of all employees.
  • Optimize and coordinate work during plant outages.
  • Recommends equipment changes and revisions to production methods for the reduction of cost, improvement of quality or control of loss.
  • Play a critical role not only ensuring your own safety, but also the safety of others. You will have direct accountability for ensuring familiarity and demonstrating the Commitment to Zero policy, leading with a safety mindset and modeling the 3 Safety Principles, modelling the 10 Tenets of Operation and having your own personal safety action plan.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a four year college degree of applied or applicable Sciences.
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Supervisor in a production facility.
  • Able to communicate with direct reports, peers and superiors
  • Computer skills: Must have basic computer skills and the ability to learn new operating systems. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience with SAP a plus.
  • Mechanically minded.
