Position Summary:

TheSr. Marketing Manager, Plant Nutrition will be responsible for the creation, development, implementation, and execution of the plant nutrition marketing plan and strategies designed to create a differentiated position for our customers while improving overall grower performance for both the US and Canada. The right candidate will have the ability to provide direction to a supporting product manager, evaluate internal/external data, market conditions and competitive responses and adjust marketing plans as needed.

This position reports to the Director of Marketing, Loveland Products and requires that the successful candidate lives within commuting distance from Loveland, CO, with 40-50% travel required throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Key Tasks:

  • Develop strategic marketing plans for Plant Nutrition product line consistent with Loveland’s long term direction, for the US and Canada.
  • Work closely with Loveland research/sales personnel, industry contacts, and CPS personnel to accurately assess market conditions and identify new product opportunities for the North America portfolio.
  • Work closely with sales and tech service group to validate product performances, both new and old, with marketing field trials designed to strengthen overall marketing messages.
  • Provide financial analysis for the product line, including new products, with timely and accurate forecasts as well as analyzing the current line to determine portfolio rationalization opportunities.
  • Identify and implement new promotional tactics to create awareness.
  • Manage one Product Manager and the Nutriscription Manager, supporting the US and Canadian portfolios.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4-year Bachelor Degree in an Ag-related field
  • 5-7 years experience in sales or marketing in an Ag related field
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the US and Canada
  • Must possess, or have the ability to get a valid US Driver's License and US Passport
