Reporting to the Manager, Operational Tax, the Sales and Property Tax Administrator's primary responsibilities include sales and property tax accounting.

Key Tasks:

  • Responsible for assisting with company tax matters with primary focus on:
    • Filing Property tax renditions and insure property tax bills are paid timely.
    • Enter property tax assessment notices into system.
    • Business license renewals and maintenance of control list.
    • Filing assigned sales and use tax returns per established tax calendar.
  • Assist in resolving correspondence from tax jurisdictions.
  • Assist with gathering documentation for tax audits and filings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned including but not limited to clerical work.
  • Embrace new ideas and challenge status quo to improve current processes and increase shareholder value.
  • Assist with timely filing of Fuel tax returns, payments and credits.
  • Compile tax rate changes as needed.
  • Other duties as required per management's discretion.

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills (written, oral and listening).
  • Strong customer service attitude.
  • Mature attitude and ability to deal effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Adaptability and flexibility.

Qualifications:

  • Accounting degree, Associates Degree, or equivalent experience with company.
  • Sales and property tax experience desirable.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, mainly Excel required.
