Key Tasks:

  • Develop new prospects and interacts with existing Turf & Ornamental customers to increase sales of fertilizer, grass seed, and plant healthcare control products in order to meet and exceed sales objectives.
  • Manage sales in order to meet profit margin objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase the sales of proprietary products
  • Provide technical support and product information
  • Diagnose problems and recommend solutions
  • Promote internal as well as supplier programs.
  • Communicate pricing within the territory
  • Collaborate with manufacturers reps to stay up to date technically
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years in golf course sales or golf management experience preferred
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the Turf industry as well as the application of Turf & Ornamental chemicals
  • Must live within the territory
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Relies on significant industry experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Works under limited supervision; A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
