Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Reliability Technician is responsible for overall leadership in improving reliability performance to world class standards. This will be achieved by determining and implementing a reliability program to improve the reliability, availability and maintainability of the plant equipment at Americus, GA location.

Key Tasks:

  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment while adhering to All Safety procedures/rules/regulations (Life Criticals, LOTO, PSM, PPE, etc.)
  • Analyze equipment performance, failure data, and corrective maintenance history to develop and deploy solutions, improve maintenance strategies, preventative maintenance optimization, and other reliability techniques.
  • Develop extensive PM, PdM, Operator PM by applying best practices, referencing machine performance, partnering with OEM and suppliers and/or vendors.
  • Manage work order documentation in the SAP to support good data collection including downtime causes/codes, spare part depletion, associated costs, etc.
  • Develop and document in SAP, a spare parts list, identify critical components, aid in planning and scheduling of work that may require your incite up to including any parts that may be needed.
  • Provide leadership in conducting or arranging for the training of maintenance tasks, techniques, technologies, and concepts for maintenance technicians, operators, and support staff.
  • Take a hands-on approach by “living” in the process to better understand problems and effectively apply solutions.
  • Track and improve Overall Equipment Efficiency through tracking Availability, Performance, and Quality.
  • Lend assistance throughout the site in Project Management with Contractors, Suppliers, and Vendors.
  • Play a critical role not only ensuring your own safety, but also the safety of others. You will have direct accountability for ensuring familiarity and demonstrating the Commitment to Zero policy, leading with a safety mindset and modeling the 3 Safety Principles, modelling the 10 Tenets of Operation and having your own personal safety action plan.

Skills:

  • Highly disciplined, problem-solver, team player with a strong work ethic
  • Safety Conscious
  • Ability to work in a Manufacturing environment
  • Sound Knowledge of Reliability principles, analytical techniques and tools
  • Risk Management strategy
  • Failure Modes, Effects, Critical Analysis
  • Process flow design/deviation
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office knowledge and/or previous Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) knowledge. Data collection and presentation
  • Excellent communication skills (written/oral)

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Industrial Technology.
  • Plant Maintenance or Maintenance field preferred, or combination of education with 5-10 yrs. experience in reliability aspects
  • Project Management experience
  • Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate.
  • Able to lift and carry products and/or equipment of up to 50 lbs.
