Loveland Products Inc., a division of CPS, offers a complete line of high performance crop input products including seed treatment, plant performance, nutritionals, adjuvant and crop protection products. Loveland Products brings new, unique chemistries to the marketplace to provide innovative solutions to problems across the agricultural and professional non-crop industries.

Job Summary:

Schedule production and coordinate materials procurement to meet business plans and fulfill customer orders. Coordinates work flow within or between departments to meet production schedules. Duties include reviewing and distributing production and shipping schedules, conferring with department supervision to determine progress and completion dates, and maintain control and accuracy over raw materials and production inventories.

Key Tasks:

  • Actively support a safe and healthy work environment by effecting policies and practices adhering to company, local, state, and federal environmental, health and safety requirements.
  • Analyze business demand and develop site production schedules to efficiently meet requirements.
  • Monitor critical inventory reports and interface with manufacturing, shipping and purchasing personnel regarding material status and production issues.
  • Maintain schedules and other formal reports to ensure production requirements are achieved.
  • Analyze and develop documents needed for production and shipping.
  • Provide data analysis and decision paths to support raw materials and finished goods demand.
  • Follow-up, as required, with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectations.
  • Complete status reports for production progress, work in process, and raw material inventories.

The Ideal Candidate

Outside of the skills and necessary qualifications, our ideal candidate must be committed to achieving superior results with integrity and sustaining our safe and positive work environment while having the ability to embrace working side by side others in a diverse culture.

Skills:

  • Strong organization and communication skills required.
  • Detail-oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize task to meet deadlines.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Identify tools, processes and metrics to optimize supplier value.
  • Good technical writing, documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to contribute in a cross-functional collaborative environment.
  • Financial skills including cost modeling and cost analysis.
  • Ability to leverage metrics to drive supplier performance.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in business, management or related discipline.
  • 3 years progressive experience in materials management using ERP/MRP systems within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • APICS certification – a plus.
  • Experience in total quality, six sigma, lean or other similar manufacturing environments - a plus.
