The Mine Engineer will report to the Mine Engineering Supervisor and will support all engineer functions at the mine in order to meet mine safety and production targets. Responsibilities may include:

Key Tasks:

  • Mine planning.
  • Site work design.
  • Grading, and roadway design.
  • Schedule the mining of ore and waste generally in accordance with the Monthly forecast, but seek opportunities to reduce cost and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor the execution of the short term plan in the field to ensure critical path targets are achieved.
  • Allocate daily survey tasks and ensure work is organized for maximum efficiency.
  • Develop a sense of continuous improvement, seek to streamline production planning process and minimize the gap between plan and execution.
  • Complies with all safety requirements and observes all company policies and procedures.
  • Carries out all other duties that may reasonably be required.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mining Engineering.
  • 0-3 years of experience.
  • Legally able to work in the United States.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skill.
  • Highly motivated and takes initiative.
  • Strong work ethic and a further desire to learn.
  • Able to perform Civil/Mining calculations.
  • Experience working with AutoCAD.
  • Preference may be given for those with Carlson Mining Software experience.
