Position Summary:

The Director of Marketing, in alignment with Loveland’s short and long term vision, will be responsible for the planning, development and implementation of the Organization’s marketing strategies and communications for both internal and external customers as well as driving the strategic direction for product development in coordination with the Innovation/R&D groups. As a Marketing led organization, this position will oversee the development and implementation of product strategy and related support materials and services to grow all products/product lines. This position will work closely with the Director of Sales to ensure overall strategies are implemented, the Senior Director of R&D, to ensure strategic focus on pipeline development, the Director of Regulatory to ensure market access, and the Directors of Supply Chain and Operations to ensure timely production and delivery. The right candidate should also have the ability to work across other business functions, such as Tech Services, Regulatory, Supply Chain and Operations to ensure timely completion of projects/products and/or meeting customer requirements. Also, the right candidate will need strong business acumen with the ability to lead groups of individuals towards a common goal.

This position reports to the Sr. Director, Commercial for Loveland Products and requires that the successful candidate lives within commuting distance from Loveland, CO, with 30-40% travel required throughout North America.

Key Tasks:

  • Lead the development and execution of product strategies across all product shelves, driving continued growth consistent with the Organization’s strategic priorities, including strategic direction for new product development in coordination with the Innovation/R&D groups.
  • Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of:
    • a comprehensive marketing, communications and digital program that will enhance the Organization’s image and position within the marketplace and,
    • All Organizational marketing, communications and services activities and materials including publications, POS pieces, and websites (apps).
  • Ensure articulation of the Organization’s desired image and position, assure consistent communication of image and position throughout the Organization, and assure communication of image and position to all customers, both internal and external.
  • Responsible for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all Organizational publications.
  • Coordinate the appearance of all Organizational print and electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logos, brochures, website design, etc.
  • Effectively enable staff to take actions on behalf of the Organization by:
    • Transmitting the Organization’s values, vision and direction;
    • Engaging people in the Vision and Mission of the Organization;
    • Providing direction and resources, removing barriers and helping develop people’s skills; articulating expectations and clarifying roles and relationships;
    • Encouraging people to question organizational assumptions and ask strategic questions; ensuring quality decision making;
    • Anticipate conflicts and facilitate resolutions;
    • Modeling the correct behavior;
    • Coaching people to success.


  • Minimum 4-year Bachelor Degree (Ag-related field preferred)
  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in sales or marketing in Ag related field
  • Strong strategic, creative, and personal sales/marketing skills.
  • Experienced in hiring, training, developing, supervising and appraising personnel, as well as developing and managing budgets.
  • Proven experience in driving product, sales and margin growth.
  • Experienced in overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications.
  • Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong Oral and Written communications skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Ability to lead small groups to achieve a common goal
  • The highest ethical standards and sense of accountability
