Position Summary:

Our group is making a concerted effort to standardize our processes and standards and the Engineering Manager (EM) will have a large role in the coordination of those areas under their area of responsibility. The EM will be responsible for the design and oversight of our corporate Engineering Management system, as well as Plant Reliability programs. Additional duties will include typical project management, regulatory compliance, and assisting plants with production efficiencies and cost effectiveness. Travel requirements will be approximately 30% of the year at our facilities. The position will be located at our corporate headquarters in Loveland, CO.

Key Tasks:

  • Manage and work with the production facilities to develop and ensure our instrument and controls standards and training are keeping the group at our desired level of competency with our automation direction.
  • Oversee engineering activities within the production facilities to ensure that all regulations associated with EPA, OSHA, and other regulating bodies are met or exceeded by leading our engineering committee.
  • Ensure safe work practices and improved safety performance are priority in your duties.
  • Direct and oversee process, materials, and equipment standards.
  • Direct and oversee Reliability process, materials, and equipment standards.
  • Works with plant managers to keep performance within budgeted project performance parameters.
  • Direct and oversee the execution of related capital projects. Keeps performance within budgeted performance parameters while also ensuring safe and productive operations.
  • Works with facility maintenance departments to ensure safe, productive, and efficient reliability operations
  • Direct and oversee standards and corporate SOP training and compliance for the production facilities.
  • Keeps abreast of the manufacturing technology trends, investigates, installs the most effective systems to ensure productivity goals.
  • Oversee the training and development of our plant engineering group.
  • Other areas added as needed.

The Ideal Candidate

Outside of the skills and necessary qualifications, our ideal candidate must be committed to achieving superior results with integrity and sustaining our safe and positive work environment while having the ability to embrace working side by side others in a diverse culture.


  • Good people management skills
  • Strong history and training in people management
  • Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
  • Knowledgeable of PSM and Reliability Programs is another plus
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management
  • Ability to do financial analysis and manage budgets
  • Ability to work independently; self-motivated & self directed


  • BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, a strong industrial controls engineering background is preferred.
  • 5 or more years’ experience in a manufacturing industry
  • Strong process engineering troubleshooting experience, a maintenance background is a plus
  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace and possess a US driver’s license;
  • Root Cause analysis experience –experience with TapRoot methodology helpful
  • Strong project management skills, including managing multiple projects at the same time
