Located at our office in Loveland, CO, and reporting to the Manager, Operations Accounting, CPS currently has an exciting Intern opportunity within our Operations Accounting Department, providing invaluable work experience in a growing company, this position term will begin mid-May 2017 until the end of August 2017.
Provide daily analysis of margin and inventory reports as assigned by Senior Inventory Accountant/Operations Accounting Manager.
Work with the Branch Managers and Branch personnel as needed to ensure accurate reporting of margins and inventory transactions.
Perform validity checks before posting inventory adjustments submitted by the branches.
Post required yearly physical count adjustments at each branch – including reconciliation of inventory adjustments amounts and proper count documentation achieved.
Additional Accounting functions as assigned, including journal entries, account reconciliations and transactional review.
Special projects and other duties as assigned by Manager, Operations Accounting or other Operations Accounting Management.
Qualifications of the position include:
Progress towards a degree in Business/Accounting or related field
Ability to prioritize tasks and handle several assignments simultaneously
Works well under general supervision
Strong integrity and business ethics
Strong verbal, written communication, strong computer (MS Office – Excel) skills
