Job Position Summary:

As a member of the Agrium Retail Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) team, the Manager, Incident Investigation and EHS&S Data is accountable for developing, reporting and maintaining Agrium Retail EHS&S data and provide data to Stakeholders. This position will report to the Manager, U.S. Safety and Regulatory Affairs. The job expectations are to help, educate, train, and comply with all aspects of running the business. This summary of job responsibilities and duties is meant togenerallydescribe the position and is not all-inclusive.

Key Tasks:

  • Maintain and communicate the Agrium Retail AIM for Safety Program;
  • Review injury investigations and maintain investigation findings in a database;
  • Share learnings and information from investigations;
  • Support tracking of appropriate leading and lagging indicators to track EHS&S performance;
  • Maintain and communicate KPI’s, add KPI information where it is needed (e.g., board reports, meetings, requests from Retail Management, IDEA, etc.);
  • Maintain and Communicate weekly KPI’s;
  • Near Miss database development, data analysis, and trending to provide feedback to the field;
  • Late Training Report;
  • Development of data to provide feedback and create new reports of EHS&S data.

The Ideal Candidate

Outside of the skills and necessary qualifications, our ideal candidate must be committed to achieving superior results with integrity and sustaining our safe and positive work environment while having the ability to embrace working side by side others in a diverse culture.

Skills:

  • Effective IT skills, including Access, Excel, SharePoint, SAP, Crystal Reports, COGNOS, Riskonnect, Salesforce CRM Software, HTML, and development of databases and reports;
  • CSP or capable of obtaining a CSP certification within a designated timeframe;
  • Experience with incident investigation methodologies, including TapRoot and Five Why;
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills and ability to interact with all levels of employees and management;

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in an EHS&S related field;
  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace and possess a US driver’s license.
  • Professional Safety Certification/s;
  • Knowledge of EPA, OSHA & DOT federal, state and local regulations;
  • Must be self–motivated and disciplined requiring little to no direct supervision, ability to concurrently deal with multiple projects and meet deadlines;
  • Experience in developing, writing or maintaining programs and systems;
  • Effective writing, interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Well-developed problem solving, organizational and analytical skills;
  • Must be able to work as an effective and contributing member of a team or independently as the need arises.

Travel:

  • Approximately 10%-15% travel may be required to the Company’s domestic and international locations.
