The Transformation specialist resides in the Transformation & Development area of the Agrium - EHS&S Department. The specialist is responsible for supporting the Transformation & Development Manager in the delivery of EHS&S transformation based initiatives that will be conducted across the board at Agrium.

The Transformation specialist will be expected to take a significant part of the initiatives by supporting development of transformation and change management roadmaps, redesign and improve EHS&S training manuals, materials and associated communications and reporting at the EHS&S leadership level. Moreover the specialist will be assigned specific initiatives and will be expected to define their content, impact and expected outcomes and then coordinate the required tasks in order to reach the outcome.

Key Tasks:

  • Contributes to key EHS&S strategic initiatives as they pertain to identified transformation programs decided by EHS&S leadership team, such as those identified in the Strategic Action Plan.
  • Assist in implementing transition programs in particular as they pertain to strategic EHS&S programming.
  • Propose and support "Behavior Based" leading indicators and analytics that derive improved decision making processes and improved EHS performance.
  • Assist in applying org-behavior theories and principles to organizations and individuals in their roles to improve behavior based safety mindsets and practices within Agrium.
  • Support in the facilitation of safety leadership programming to foster Behavior Based Safety initiatives at all locations.
  • Propose and facilitate transformation opportunities in the EHS&S function.
  • Prepares and supports in defining and designing EHS&S materials and site/branch initiatives in particular for required EHS&S outcomes and roadmaps.
  • Contributes to change management strategies, communication plans for initiatives in EHS&S.
  • Provide change process expertise and guidance with working towards a common goal.

Skills:

  • Ability to interact with key stakeholders, educate and communicate persuasively in a multi-functional environment.
  • Aptitude to work and communicate at all levels of an organization, including with site/branch locations.
  • Ability to deliver multi-level and multimode communications using simplified approaches.
  • Understands org-behavior and change management theories and principles and their use to improve behavior based safety mindsets and practices.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines through excellent time management and strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little direction.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to take instructions readily and to formulate work plans that will provide the best results to achieve the intended goal.
  • Aptitude for relationship building and influencing.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Human Sciences, Communications, or Change Management preferred
  • 7 years expereince working in a challenging, transforming, and growing department/organization
  • Excellent Ms Office skills (Excel, Word and Power Point)
  • Effective with creative solutions and communications to influence others to think and behave with safety at the top of their mind
