Reporting to the Manager, Accounting, this role’s primary responsibilities are the preparation of timely and accurate financial information including: journal entries, account reconciliations, and account review and analysis.

Key Tasks:

  • Responsible for completing various journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis.
  • Interface with other departments as needed to ensure all journal entries and reconciliations are completed timely and with proper supporting detail
  • Responsible for maintaining accounting records including journal entries, account reconciliations and support
  • Research discrepancies and communicate with other departments as needed to resolve issues.
  • Embrace new ideas and challenge status quo to improve current processes and increase shareholder value.
  • Intercompany Accounting and variance analysis
  • Special Projects and other duties as required

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and in an environment of change
  • Strong customer service attitude; team player; strong desire for knowledge; adaptability
  • Self-motivated, innovative, forward-thinker
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • PeopleSoft experience, a plus
  • Knowledge of the retail agriculture business, a plus


  • BA/BS in Accounting/Finance, pursuing an accounting designation is considered an asset
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of Accounting experience
  • Strong general knowledge of accounting principles
