Reporting to the Director, Global Cash Management, the Treasury Administrator requires a high degree of collaboration within Treasury, and across departments, and will provide administrative support to the Global Cash Management, Corporate Finance and Insurance groups within Treasury. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required as well as the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. Well- developed organizational skills, including prioritizing of work and the ability to work independently are essential.

A primary responsibility of the Treasury Administrator is the oversight for the portfolio of banking systems and Treasury management system, iON Treasura. This position will work extensively across several systems, as System Administrator, providing users with appropriate access and transactional limits in compliance with Treasury authorities and Audit and SOX requirements. This position will interact with partners in the SBU’s, such as APSSC, HRSSC, AR and with our banks to seek appropriate approvals, execute on user entitlement requests and research functionality. In 2016, a review was initiated to explore a new workflow process for user access requests, and this role will work closely with IT to implement the process improvements.

The candidate must be someone who is proactive and takes pride of ownership in their work. If you approach your work with enthusiasm and collaboration, you will complement our Treasury team environment and culture.

Key Tasks:

  • Primary ownership of Global Cash Management system administration function, complying with Treasury Authorities, policies & procedures, and maintaining user access audit records;
  • Evaluates requests for user entitlements, obtains proper approvals, and initiates changes in appropriate systems;
  • Communicates regularly with banking providers globally, maintains and communicates authorized Agrium contact lists;
  • Collaborates with Treasury’s partners in SBU’s to ensure requests are processed and provide guidance for bank customer service departments or system help desks as required;
  • Maintains accurate records and system audit reports to support quarterly Audit and SOX controls;
  • Provides support to Treasury Analysts in relation to documentation requirements for system and/or service enhancements, obtains required signatures, distributes documents appropriately and maintains records;
  • Assesses filing needs and establishes a well-organized and accessible filing process in accordance with applicable standards, policies and procedures;
  • Provides support, as needed, for Global Bank Account documentation library including effective filing of legal and banking documents;
  • Coordinates the preparation of monthly and ad hoc management reports including managing the weekly/monthly/quarterly calendar of deliverables;
  • Manages travel arrangements and prepares expense reports for the Corporate Finance, Global Cash Management and Insurance teams;
  • Assists in preparation of presentations as needed;
  • Handles details of a highly confidential and/or critical nature;
  • Maintains confidentiality of records as necessary;
  • Receives and distributes incoming mail.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of administrative experience

  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;

  • Demonstrated experience in SAP functionality;

  • Experience working in finance environment and/or exposure to banking an asset

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;

  • Ability to plan and prioritize work activities effectively;

  • Demonstrated ability for accuracy and thoroughness in work;

  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the job;

  • Ability to perform technical, specialized, and complex office administrative work requiring the use of independent judgment;

  • Organizing own work, coordinating projects, setting priorities, meeting deadlines and following up on assignments with a minimum of direction;

  • Ability to maintain schedules, records and files.
