Reporting to the Superintendent, General Mill Maintenance the Journeyperson Millwright - Mill Maintenance will conduct critical repairs to mill equipment on a daily basis. This will include reactive repairs ranging from driver belt replacements, to pump barrel assembly replacements, agitator replacements, screen repairs, etc.


Key Tasks:

  • Vibrations background and understanding of vibration analysis.
  • Knowledge of different types of bearing failure and corrective actions.
  • Support safety and continuous improvement programs.
  • Install, maintain and repair of rotating and stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform preventative and operational maintenance using procedures such as vibration analysis, and repair or replace defective parts when necessary.
  • Maintain and support equipment records and repair history.
  • Provide data for cause and failure analysis.
  • Take part in planning and scheduling within work systems.
  • Play a critical role not only ensuring your own safety, but also the safety of others. You will have direct accountability for ensuring familiarity and demonstrating the Commitment to Zero policy, leading with a safety mindset and modeling the 3 Safety Principles, modelling the 10 Tenets of Operation and having your own personal safety action plan.

Outside of the skills and necessary qualifications, our ideal candidate must be committed to achieving superior results with integrity and sustaining our safe and positive work environment while having the ability to embrace working side by side others in a diverse culture.

Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of SAP a benefit.
  • The successful candidate must be willing to work shift work.
  • Rigging certification.
